bb.q Chicken Wichita is looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Line Cook to join our kitchen team! As the "Best of the Best Quality" chicken chain, we pride ourselves on serving the crispiest, juiciest authentic Korean fried chicken and street food in town. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, love working with high-quality ingredients, and want to master the art of traditional Korean frying and saucing, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Food Preparation: Banish and mix signature batters; portion, prep, and store chicken and other ingredients following strict food safety guidelines.
• Line Cooking: Fry, toss, and hand-brush our iconic chicken flavors (like Honey Garlic, Secret Sauce, and Galbi) to absolute perfection.
• Menu Execution: Efficiently prepare classic K-Food items, including Ddeok-Bokki, Kimchi Fried Rice, and specialty sides.
• Quality Control: Maintain consistency in presentation, flavor profile, and temperature according to brand standards.
• Kitchen Safety & Cleanliness: Keep your station organized, clean, and sanitized throughout your shift. Assist with dishwashing, equipment maintenance, and closing procedures.
• Teamwork: Communicate effectively with front-of-house team members and other kitchen staff to ensure orders go out accurately and on time.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous experience as a line cook, fryer, or prep cook in a fast-casual or full-service restaurant is highly preferred (but we are willing to train the right candidate!).
• Ability to stand for long periods, work comfortably around deep fryers/high temperatures, and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation protocols (ServSafe certification is a plus).
• Excellent time-management skills with the ability to multitasking during busy mall rush hours.
• A positive attitude, strong reliability, and a commitment to teamwork.
