HVAC Technician

HVAC Technician to perform preventative, corrective and predictive maintenance, troubleshoot and service of commercial and industrial HVAC systems. Capable of performing tests and analysis of data to assure the proper functioning of equipment and provide recommendations to improve reliability. Understands control operation, and sequence of operation for commercial and industrial HVAC systems. Must be well organized and capable of keeping up with maintenance records and communicating effectively, both verbal and in writing. Works as a team leader and capable of training and coaching of apprentices and co-workers. Has strong customer service attitude. Follows all safety standards, including but not limited to NFPA 70e and Lockout Tag Out.

Skills

• 5-10 years HVAC experience working daily on commercial or industrial HVAC equipment / systems
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, including safety policies and standard operating procedures.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, including the basic refrigeration cycle and electrical systems.
• Ability to read blue prints and decipher electrical schematics
• Pipefitting – both black pipe and copper

Education / Licenses

• High School Diploma
• Trade School or other HVAC Apprenticeship Program
• EPA 608 certification (Type II or Universal)
