Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and caring Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team for two - three days weekly, at Canarsie Childhood Center. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in guiding our children towards achieving their full potential. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students and be part of a collaborative and supportive environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate students' physical, cognitive, and sensory abilities to develop personalized treatment plans

• Design and implement occupational therapy interventions to improve fine motor, gross motor, and sensory integration skills

• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans

• Conduct group and individual therapy sessions to promote functional skills and independence

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress and treatment plans

• Participate in IEP meetings and staff development workshops to stay up-to-date on best practices

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution

• Current registration with the New York State Occupational Therapy Association (NYSOTA)

• Experience working with children with special needs a plus

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
