Requirements / What You’ll Need Legal Credentials: Must be a licensed attorney and a member of the New Jersey Bar Litigation Background: 1-3 years of experience, ideally in criminal defense or high-stakes litigation Bilingual Skills: Proficiency in both English and Spanish The "Hustle" & Heart: A deep alignment with immigrant rights and social justice Willingness to Learn: A proactive disposition to master immigration law, bond representation, and removal defense strategies Location & Logistics: Based in New Jersey with a reliable vehicle to appear in person for court and ICE presentations in NJ, NY, and PA What You’ll Do Master a New Field: Transition your trial skills to represent clients in Master Calendar, Bond, and Individual Hearings Strategize: Develop innovative defense strategies, including Cancellation of Removal, Asylum, and Adjustment of Status Collaborate: Work with a dedicated team of paralegals and case managers to build ironclad cases Participate in "Consultation Day" events to evaluate case eligibility and explain legal options.
