Local Sales Executive

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Hunter mentality imperative for success. Aggressively cultivate new business through referrals, local and professional networking, internet research, social media connections, etc. Meet or exceed established self-generated appointment goals, closing ratios, quality scores and sales volume guidelines. Develop and deliver effective and professional sales presentations to key referring partners, including realtors and business networking groups. Conduct virtual surveys and travel to customer residences to conduct visual surveys on-site. Provide accurate written estimates of service and all applicable information the customer needs to make an informed decision. Ensure thorough communications and establish appropriate expectations for customers and internal teams to set up moves for success. Employ best-in-class sales techniques and practices to differentiate from the competition and earn customers’ trust. Attend industry events and maintain professional membership status to network within the industry and secure new business. Collaborate with operations and customer service staff to ensure customer requirements and expectations are clearly defined and top satisfaction is achieved. Produce and distribute sales activity reports as required and respond to business needs promptly. Embrace and utilize HubSpot CRM platform daily to maintain accurate data and take advantage of available sales tools to improve closing ratios. Provide best‑in‑class customer service, work with integrity, and build excellent relationships with employees, vendors, partners and customers. Job Skills Required Strong social skills and ability to develop relationships with ease. Ability to uncover move opportunities daily, act as the face of Suddath in the marketplace, and maintain high visibility to establish self as mover of choice. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including customer service orientation. Attention to detail for survey and estimating accuracy. Ability to relate well with diverse people of varying backgrounds, ages and experiences. Ability to prioritize and re‑prioritize as needs change throughout the day. Organizational skills for managing workflow, meeting deadlines and prioritizing work. Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills. Show initiative and work with minimal supervision. Willingness to adhere to policies and processes set forth by management. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four‑year college or university preferred but not required. Two to five years of direct sales experience; moving industry experience preferred. Language Skills Read and interpret documents such as forms, contracts and procedure manuals. Draft routine reports and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Mathematical Skills Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability Solve practical problems and handle a variety of concrete variables where limited standardization exists. Interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Computer Operations Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with social networking and utilizing a CRM database. Planning / Organization Prioritize and re‑prioritize as situations change throughout the workday. Multi‑task and organize workflow to manage daily responsibilities, meet deadlines and prioritize work. Certificates / Licenses / Registrations No certifications required. Working Conditions Cubicle working environment. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Physical / Environmental Demands Activity:Stand – under 1/3 time; Walk – under 1/3 time; Sit – over 2/3 time. Use hands to finger, handle, or feel – over 2/3 time. Reach with hands and arms – 1/3 to 2/3 time. Climb or balance – none. Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl – under 1/3 time. Talk or hear – over 1/3 to 2/3 time. Taste or smell – none. Other – none. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and perceive attributes of objects and materials. Special Vision Requirements Specific vision abilities required: close vision and ability to adjust focus.
