Registered Nurse – Acute Care

Schedule: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Assignment Details:

• Contract Weeks: 8
• Guaranteed Hours: 40.00

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS certification required
• AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS certification required
• AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification required
• At least two years recent experience in the field
• Experience with EPIC and Cerner EMR systems required

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards and the nursing process.
• Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff and coordinate care with other disciplines.
• Collect and analyze relevant data pertinent to the patient's health to determine diagnosis and care issues.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate a plan that prescribes interventions to attain desired outcomes.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to provide safe, healing patient care.
• Provide learning opportunities and health information to patients and their families.
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of the healthcare team members.
