Orientation: Biweekly
Shift: Days – 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
Schedule: 36 or 48 Hours/Week
Weekend: Every other weekend
Holidays: Required as scheduled — Holiday RTO is not permitted
Local Candidates: Accepted — no rate difference

Pay Rate: $52–$54/hour
Estimated Weekly Pay:

• 36 hours: $1,872–$1,944/week

• 48 hours: $2,496–$2,592/week

OT: Paid after 48 hours , regardless of whether the traveler is scheduled for 36 or 48 hours/week.

• Med/Surg / Telemetry

• Typical nurse-to-patient ratio: approximately 1:6

• Meditech charting

• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals

• Facility may cancel up to 4 shifts during the contract without penalty

• 16 hours of non-billable orientation

• Unit does not require an interview; offers are generally made from the submitted profile

• Interview can be arranged if requested

• 2 years of experience preferred

• Candidates with 18 months of experience may be considered if:

  • Working under the highest level of professional license

  • At least 1 year of experience in the specialty

• ASN degree – Required

• Active Alabama RN license or Compact RN license

• Temporary licenses are NOT accepted

• AHA or ARC BLS – Required

• Must successfully pass the facility's Dysrhythmia Basic exam

  • Maximum of 2 attempts

  • Contract will be cancelled if the exam is not passed within 2 attempts

• Must be comfortable floating to other units/hospitals

• Holiday RTO is NOT allowed

• Maximum 7 days of RTO during the 13-week contract

• RTO must be non-consecutive

• Candidates should be fully committed to the entire assignment

• 16 required modules must be completed by the file due date

• Once an Employee ID is issued, traveler has 24 hours to log in before the ID expires

• Dysrhythmia Basic exam is completed during onboarding
