Research Technician, Part-Time- Wang Lab

The Monell Chemical Senses Center is a world-renowned nonprofit research institute and global leader dedicated to advancing knowledge about the senses of taste, smell, and related senses, and translating its discoveries into real-world advances in policy, practice, and behavior. Monell is located in the heart of the vibrant educational and life sciences hub of Philadelphia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Learning and performing basic molecular biology and neuroscience techniques in rodent models, including qPCR, Western blot, behavioral assays, imaging, and/or histology
• Working independently and with other lab members on collaborative research projects
• Analyzing data, writing experimental reports and data summaries, presenting research findings to others in the lab
• Assisting with lab organization, cleaning, ordering, and management

Qualifications:

Minimum requirements for the position:

1. BA/BS in Biology or related sciences is preferred
2. Experience with molecular techniques and rodent models is preferred
3. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills are essential
4. Ideal candidates should be detail-oriented and able to work independently
