Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background working in an Emergency Department at a Level 1 Trauma Center.

Shift Details

• 12-Hour Evening/Night Shifts
• Weekend and Holiday Rotation Required

Qualifications

• Must possess an active Illinois RN licensure.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS.
• Either TNCC or TNS certification required at the time of application.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification will be required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and relevant state laws.
• Document patient care in adherence to established standards.
• Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized patient care plans in coordination with physicians and clinic policies, including family instruction.
• Engage in department performance improvement initiatives and shared governance activities.
• Provide clinical expertise and support across departments to enhance patient care continuity.
• Employ critical thinking skills to ensure patient safety and experience, escalating issues as appropriate.
• Participate in peer review processes and unit practice activities to uphold professional nursing standards.
