Project Engineer

Senior Sap Basis Engineering / AdministrationCoordinates planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and formulates engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems. This position works in a team environment performing senior level BASIS tasks in support of many systems running a wide variety of SAP applications, components and bolt-ons. The job duties include but are not limited to:Building new SAP systems (ABAP, JAVA, HANA)Configuration and support of existing SAP systemsExecuting transports (OS Level, TMS, and SAP or third-party tools)Support of High Availability environmentsPerforming Homogeneous System copiesProviding technical support for configurators and developersTechnical SAP troubleshooting in support of all SAP application areas/productsConcurrent support of multiple SAP landscapes across multiple SAP applicationsOther duties may be assigned as needed to support the organization.Basic Qualifications:Experience providing advanced level Basis Admin support for one or more of the following: Netweaver systems, including ECC, SRM, XI/PI, Enterprise Portal, and Business IntelligenceSenior level experience with ABAP and JAVA Homogeneous System copy proceduresDemonstrated experience with networking, Microsoft Windows, Unix, Linux, and Java as it pertains to supporting SAP.Experience providing SAP Basis Admin support for a go-live and for an SAP upgrade.Highly skilled in SAP troubleshooting in one or more of the following areas: ALE/RFC, IDOC, update processing, system communications, tRFC/qRFC processing, XI message processing, and ABAP dump/DEV trace analysis.Experience with support of at least 1 full life cycle for an SAP ECC landscape (from development to production go-live)Desired skills:Demonstrated ability to successfully support high availability systems.Demonstrated experience successfully supporting multiple landscapes across multiple SAP applicationsDemonstrated ability to configure and manage SAP HANA systems, including HANA cluster, scale up and scale out applianceDemonstrated HANA operational experience, including installation, backups, upgrades, patching, add-on components, SLT, BOBJDemonstrated experience supporting CHARM, wiley monitoring, and solution manager diagnosticsDemonstrated experience with HANA administration including managing schemas, data model objects, import/export content, SQLDemonstrated experience with OS/DB migrations to LinuxDemonstrated experience supporting one or more of the following: Adobe Connect, Virsa tool, SAP Solution Manager, Data ServicesDemonstrated experience providing Oracle, windows, and linux/unix support specific to SAP applications, including shell scriptingSkilled in CCMS administration and setupKnowledge in the Java Netweaver Administration areas, including SLD strategies/administrationSkilled in Enhanced CTS+ setup and configurationABAP debugging skills and performance analysisExperience supporting Rev-Trac, BI performance tuning, SAP SCMSNC, SAP archiving, and Vertex product supportProven customer service skillsAbility to work on self-initiated tasks without appreciable directionExcellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated teaming and interpersonal skillsExperience providing advanced level Basis Admin support for HANA systems.Demonstrated experience with Fiori/Personas AdministrationDemonstrated experience with Agile Practices for SAP Cloud-Based systemsMust be a US citizen due to program access requirements
