The facility is a children‘s hospital that operates as part of an academic health system. The hospital provides comprehensive pediatric care with specialized hematology/oncology services supported by multiple advanced practice nurses and registered nurses. The facility maintains full enrollment with insurance payers and utilizes EPIC EMR for patient documentation and care coordination.

The physician will provide comprehensive pediatric hematology/oncology care including both inpatient and outpatient services. Responsibilities include managing 10-15 patients daily, conducting new consultations, and providing ongoing treatment for general hematology/oncology conditions. The position requires board certification and involves nightly call coverage during inpatient assignments with no call requirements for outpatient weeks. Hospital privileges are required with a credentialing timeline of 30-60 days, and an Illinois state license must be obtained before credentialing can begin.
