Position Summary Seeking an experienced Buyer to support the procurement and supplier management activities associated with advanced aerospace and manufacturing programs. This role is responsible for managing supplier relationships, executing sourcing strategies, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely delivery of critical materials and components that support production and development objectives. Key Responsibilities Manage supplier performance and collaborate with internal stakeholders to support the development and production of complex systems and hardware. Develop and issue Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Requests for Quotation (RFQs), conduct cost and price analyses, and lead supplier negotiations. Negotiate and administer a variety of contract types, including long-term agreements, strategic sourcing partnerships, Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Time & Material (T&M), and cost-reimbursable contracts. Own the procurement lifecycle from requisition creation through invoice payment, resolving issues and ensuring seamless execution throughout the process. Lead the identification, negotiation, implementation, and management of strategic supplier agreements and long-term sourcing initiatives. Support organizational procurement strategies and drive alignment with broader business objectives. Ensure materials and components are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with technical and quality requirements. Monitor supplier performance, mitigate risks, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the supply base. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field with 5+ years of supply chain or procurement experience; or a Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience. Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably supporting avionics, fluid systems, or other highly engineered components. Aerospace industry experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, and supplier relationship management. Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). Experience negotiating and managing multiple contract types, including FFP, T&M, CPFF, and CPIF agreements. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to leverage data to drive decisions and track performance metrics. Ability to manage competing priorities, meet aggressive deadlines, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills. Working knowledge of AS9100 quality standards. Ability to interpret engineering documentation, including specifications, source control drawings, and technical requirements. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of ITAR and EAR import/export regulations. Professional certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, or PMP. Experience with Deltek Costpoint, Jira, and SharePoint.
