Job Roles and Responsibilities:

• Perform load forecasting and long-range electrical system planning.

• Provide engineering support for electric utility system operations.

• Support distribution system coordination and protection activities.

• Perform complex engineering analysis related to system specifications and requirements.

• Analyze transmission and distribution system operations and requirements.

• Support planning and development of electrical system improvements.

• Utilize engineering software and computer applications to perform analysis and planning functions.

• Organize engineering assignments and meet project deadlines.

• Work independently while collaborating effectively with engineering and cross-functional teams.

• Communicate technical information clearly with internal and external stakeholders.

• Apply engineering knowledge to identify and resolve system-related issues.

• Maintain a high degree of accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality in engineering work.
  

Qualifications and Certifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

• 5+ years of electric utility or related engineering experience.

• Experience with electric utility engineering, system planning, or related functions.

• Knowledge of transmission and distribution system operations.

• Ability to perform complex engineering analysis and system planning.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.

• Experience using computer applications for engineering functions.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Working knowledge of Milsoft WindMil and LightTable is required/preferred based on the role's expectations.

• Ability to learn and utilize other engineering software applications.

• High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.

• Valid driver's license required.
