Desktop IT Specialist

Salary: $80,000 - 90,000 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for a self-motivated candidate with at least two years of help desk, desktop support, or endpoint engineering experience in a hybrid Windows/macOS environment.
• An associate degree, technical school certificate, or equivalent hands-on experience is required; a bachelors degree is preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, food production, or distribution is strongly preferred.
• Preferred credentials include CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft 365 certification, Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or ITIL 4 Foundation.
• Experience with Windows 11, macOS (Sonoma or later), and iOS/Android management through MDM is expected.
• Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, and Jamf Pro is preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Microsoft Copilot is required.
• We value experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, SSO, and FIDO2/passwordless authentication.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, basic SOC alert triage, and phishing reporting processes is needed.
• Experience using modern ITSM platforms such as Freshservice, ServiceNow, or Jira Service Management is preferred.
• Familiarity with Crystal Reports, DevExpress dashboards, Power BI, and basic SQL troubleshooting is expected.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Experience delivering one-on-one and small-group training on computer hardware and software is required.
• Strong documentation abilities and a team-oriented mindset are important.

• We provision, manage, and support Windows 11 and macOS devices using Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, and Jamf for remote site deployment.
• We resolve Tier 1 and Tier 2 incidents through our ITSM platform while working to meet First Contact Resolution, Mean Time to Resolve, and CSAT goals.
• We support hybrid and remote users with secure remote access tools, virtual meetings, conference room AV, Teams Phone, and shared peripherals.
• We provide hands-on assistance at plant locations for kiosks, label printers, scanners, scales, and shop-floor PCs, including travel as needed.
• We administer user identities in Microsoft Entra ID, including account setup and removal, group access, conditional access troubleshooting, and license allocation.
• We enroll users in phishing-resistant MFA, support password changes, and help manage companywide authentication updates.
• We respond to endpoint security alerts from Microsoft Defender and SentinelOne and perform initial containment following established procedures.
• We maintain endpoint health by managing patching, BitLocker/FileVault encryption, EDR status, and removal of unauthorized software.
• We support the Microsoft 365 suite and guide users on adoption and best practices.
• We provide end-user support for E21 Web ERP, including onboarding, navigation, and minor configuration questions.
• We troubleshoot and maintain Crystal Reports, DevExpress dashboards, and Power BI reports, escalating more complex updates to the BI/reporting and coding team.
• We keep asset records accurate in the ITAM system for devices, peripherals, and software licenses.
• We manage onboarding and offboarding, including identity setup, MFA enrollment, license assignment, equipment shipment, and secure return or decommissioning.
• We create and maintain knowledge base articles and user guides to improve self-service support.
