This is for our Sorrento Valley location. We are the in house caterer for a local company completing all daily meeting orders and large events. We are a collaborative, high-energy culinary team that values creativity, consistency, and a shared passion for great food. Position Overview We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Cook to support our culinary team. This role is essential to maintaining the flow, organization, and consistency of our kitchen operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in their work, and understands that preparation is the foundation of exceptional execution. Key Responsibilities Daily food preparation for a variety of catering events Wash, chop, and prepare ingredients according to recipes and standards Maintain proper labeling, storage, and rotation of food (FIFO) Ensure consistency in quality, portioning, and presentation Support freezer pulls and inventory management as directed Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment Work collaboratively with team to put out the best quality food in short period of time Qualifications Previous prep cook or professional kitchen experience (catering experience a plus) Strong knife skills and understanding of basic cooking techniques Ability to follow recipes and detailed instructions Organized, efficient, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and passion for food Core Values We are a values-driven kitchen.
