Security Engineering Team LeadLead an engineering team within Amazon Healthcare Security that builds and operates security tooling and platforms protecting sensitive healthcare data across Amazon Health Services (AHS). Drive delivery of strategic security initiatives spanning access control, compliance automation, data governance, and secure enablement of healthcare experiences for millions of customers, while contributing to HealthSec's broader shift toward AI-native security operations. Grow and develop engineers on the team, providing hands-on mentorship and technical guidance to help them become effective builders at Amazon. Your team will build critical security infrastructure that enables AHS to scale rapidly while maintaining the highest bar for patient data protection. You'll define the technical strategy for evolving these systems, managing execution across multiple concurrent workstreams with cross-organizational dependencies spanning security, healthcare application, and retail teams. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of security engineering and healthcare compliance. You will partner closely with AHS teams, security leadership, and cross-org stakeholders to deliver systems that scale security protection across healthcare verticals while ensuring zero disruption to patient care.
