Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct and individualized nursing care to a wide variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery patients, based on scientific nursing principles
• Consult and coordinate with the health care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
• Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications via oral, subcutaneous, and IV routes; report adverse reactions in accordance with facility policy
• Monitor and adjust specialized patient care equipment; interpret and record electronic displays, and initiate corrective action when adverse symptomatology is observed
• Initiate and carry out patient and family education plans, including post-treatment home care needs, wound care, catheter insertion, and IV placement
• Accurately document all care information in a timely manner and participate in discharge planning

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of clinical Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Active Wyoming RN license or a multi-state compact RN license
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications — all must be issued through the American Heart Association
• All certifications and RN license must be attached at time of submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical setting
• Previous experience working in a community hospital environment, either in a permanent or contract capacity
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
