The Role -

Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer (Plating)  to work out of its state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY .

The  Manufacturing Quality Engineer (Plating) will analyze and discuss quality concerns with assigned manufacturing departments.

The key responsibilities of the Manufacturing Quality Engineer (Plating)  include, but are not limited to:

• Identify, prioritize, and address all significant and repetitious quality problems
• Initiate and verify the effectiveness of formal corrective actions
• Maintain thorough knowledge of ISO-9001, AS-9100, and Amphenol's quality manual, and subordinate procedures
• Enforce quality policies
• Maintain working knowledge of products and associated processes
• Conduct quality audits when appropriate and when assigned
• Develop and maintain constructive professional relationships with employees and customers
• Take prudent actions to achieve continuous improvement in reducing cost of non-quality and customer returns
• Investigate and disposition customer returns involving product from area of responsibility

  • 30 Minute Drive from Binghamton, NY
  • 20 Minute Drive from Oneonta, NY

Salary: $62,354 - $85,000

The Person -

The key skills and qualities of a Manufacturing Quality Engineer (Plating)  at Amphenol Aerospace Operations:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering
• Knowledge of statistical methods, and computer fluency
• Strong interpersonal skills and written/verbal communication
• Applicable experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment preferred
• Work extensively with Amphenol's computer systems, the AS400 mainframe and the local PC network
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Data4 software
• Ability to freely travel throughout a manufacturing floor environment
• Some lifting and carrying of small loads may be required
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
