Job Opportunity

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Med Surg for an exciting opportunity. The successful candidate will join a collaborative interdisciplinary team, contributing clinical knowledge and expertise in the management and delivery of care to patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care while ensuring a safe and compassionate environment.
• Collaborate with team members across various campuses and may be required to float within the same discipline.
• Utilize EMR system (EPIC) for documentation and patient management.

Shift Details

• Start time: 1900
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
• Orientation Schedule: Training sessions on 6/8 and 6/21

Additional Information

• Work requirements include 36-40 hours per week, with overtime applicable after specified hours.
• Summer holiday requirements include working 1-2 of 3 available holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg experience.
• Experience as a first-time traveler is acceptable.
• Heparin dip experience is preferred.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Experience with EPIC EMR is necessary.
• A valid Iowa state nursing license is required; compact licenses are accepted.
• Previous employment with the organization within the last 12 months is not allowed.

Location

• City: Various cities in Iowa, including Madison, Sioux City, Bettendorf, Fort Dodge, Moline, Muscatine, and Rock Island.
