Plant Manager
Minnesota Manufacturing Recruiting
An industrial equipment manufacturer that designs, fabricates, assembles, and programs highly customized equipment is looking for a Plant Manager near Alexandria, MN . This individual will step into a business where most of the operational knowledge and decision-making is controlled by the owner, and he'll be retiring at the end of the year.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all business operations (production, engineering, customer relations, and more)
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace
- Implement, improve, and formalizes systems/processes in production and across the business
- Analyze production costs, flow, and delivery to establish areas for improvements
- Improve quoting speed
- Strengthen accountability
- Ensure adherence to rules and workplace policies
- Improve inventory visibility, WIP discipline, and vendor accountability
- Partner with finance to improve collections discipline, working capital, and cost control
Qualifications
- Substantial operations leadership experience from a metal fabrication or job shop environment
- Understanding of financials and how they correlate to P&L
- Excellent leadership skills and an ability to drive change in a tactful manner
- Comfortable in an autonomous environment without tons of direction
