Job Description As a Security Officer Part Time Armed Patrol Driver in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. You’ll conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. This driving role requires an armed guard card or license and a valid driver’s license. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and support a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity. Position Type Part Time Pay Rate $20.20 / Hour Job Schedule DayTimeMon02:00 PM - 10:00 PMSat05:00 AM - 05:00 PMSun02:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You'll Do Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a utility location by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access‑control requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency services when required. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of utility facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor access points, verify credentials, and maintain visitor and contractor entry records in accordance with site policies. Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security‑related activities. Minimum Requirements An armed guard card or license is required. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
