Job Summary:

This role involves providing first assist support in a busy surgical unit, specializing in robotic, orthopedic, and neuro/spine procedures. The position requires collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care and smooth surgical operations.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assist surgeons during procedures by providing skilled bedside support.
  
  
• 
  Prepare operating rooms by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  
  
• 
  Maintain sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
  
  
• 
  Support postoperative care coordination and patient monitoring.
  
  
• 
  Document procedures accurately in accordance with hospital policies.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with anesthesia, nursing, and surgical teams to optimize patient outcomes.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Possess a valid Virginia license to practice surgical technology.
  
  
• 
  Have at least 2 years of experience as a surgical technologist or first assist.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate hands-on experience with robotic surgery systems.
  
  
• 
  Show expertise in orthopedic and neuro/spine surgeries.
  
  
• 
  Maintain current certifications relevant to surgical assisting roles.
  
  
• 
  Be adaptable to call rotations including nights and weekends.
