Maintenance Technician Mechanic
Our client, a leader in manufacturing and facility maintenance, is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician Mechanic to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician Mechanic, you will be an essential part of the operations supporting the maintenance department. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Oak Ridge, TN
Pay Range: $21.00 - $25.00
Shift: Weekend shift 6:00pm to 6:00am
What's the Job?
- Perform preventative maintenance such as changing coolants, lubricants, or filters, following a set schedule
- Conduct facility maintenance including replacing lightbulbs, painting, filters, and simple plumbing tasks
- Inspect and perform basic maintenance and repair of manufacturing and facility equipment using manual and power tools
- Partner with senior mechanics to repair more complex manufacturing or facility equipment
- Maintain work area cleanliness and adhere to safety protocols by wearing required personal protective equipment
What's Needed?
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- One (1) year relevant experience in maintenance or related field
- Ability to understand and act on verbal and written instructions
- Basic math, computer, and time-management skills
- Knowledge of machine repair, plumbing, pipefitting, welding, sheet metal, mill-wright, and general maintenance
