Medical Surgical Oncology - Travel Registered Nurse

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Oncology experience.

• 3 months of travel experience is required within the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• No current placement allowed at Program: TrioWFS Program - UnityPoint Health.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - 12 months of Oncology experience in a hospital or medical center setting required. - Work history/resume must show 24 months of current Oncology / Med Surgical experience. - Experience with Infusaport access required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Med Surgical experience due to floating preferred. - Some degree of recent chemo experience preferred.

Preferred Credentials: - ONCC certification preferred.

Special Requests: - Unless the unit is closed, required to work 1-2 of 3 summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day). - Past UPH FTE or PRN float pool employees cannot work travel in another market if they currently work there or have worked there within the past 12 months; prior UPH travel workers are exempt.

Unit Details: - Patient population includes oncology and med/surg patients, including chemo side-effect management. - No drips/titrations.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every 4th weekend. - Holiday rotation required. - No call.

Floating Requirements: - May float across other med-surg units. - Required to float across campuses, including Iowa Methodist Medical Center and Iowa Lutheran.

7 days maximum time off

2 references required from within the last 2 years

Driver’s license required for submission
