PRN Emergency Medicine Physician - MUSC Health Catawba Division (Lancaster/Chester, SC)

Job Description Summary MUSC Health is seeking an ABEM Board Certified/Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician to join an established, physician-led emergency medicine team serving three hospitals within its Catawba Division. This role offers an opportunity to work on a PRN basis, in a well-supported ED providing a variety in practice setting while maintaining scheduling equity and consistency. Required Qualifications MD/DO with board certification in Emergency Medicine Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in the State of South Carolina Strong communication, organization and teamwork skills Position Highlights EPIC EMR with DAX AI scribe available Equitable distribution of 10-hour and 12-hour physician shifts with physician-led scheduling LMC ED and CMC ED supplemented with daily APP coverage. ~1.8 – 2.0 pph Annual LMC ED Volume: 32,000 with admission rate of 18% Annual CMC ED Volume: 15,000 with admission rate of 7% Complement of well-supported specialties to include Anesthesia, OB/Gyn, General Surgery, Urology, GI, Orthopedics, ENT, Tele-Neurology, Tele-Psychiatry Excellent Integrated Hospital-Based Team to include Hospitalists and Intensivists Dedicated Nocturnists Opportunity to work with IM and FM Residents Dedicated Air Transport based at Lancaster Medical Center Benefits & Resources for Physicians Competitive compensation and benefits Provider can choose between W2/PRN or 1099/PRN Hotel reimbursement (if applicable) Mileage reimbursement (if applicable) Epic EHR with physician-centered optimization and robust user support AI-enabled documentation and workflow tools integrated into Epic to reduce administrative burden and support clinical decision-making at the point of care Team-based care models that support sustainable workloads, shared responsibility, and physician well-being.
