Base Manager Opportunity At MacDill AFB Commissary ESCO, a division of Eurpac Service, Inc., has over 60 years of proven success representing consumer package goods (CPG) within the complex Military Resale Channel. We provide comprehensive sales and marketing service solutions to our clients and use proprietary technology designed for success in this unique retail channel. ESCO is seeking a part‑time Base Manager at the MacDill AFB, Florida commissary. This role is ideal for a spouse, student or retiree seeking a meaningful part‑time position. Principal responsibilities: Perform daily tasks assigned by EAGLE Eye, Retail IQ, the Area Manager (AM) or Area Supervisor (AS) to support commissary operations. Call on assigned commissaries and complete tasks using company technology and AM instructions. Maintain current product distribution and expand distribution of new items, aiming to meet the 30‑day “speed to shelf” objective. Collaborate with the CAO (Computer Assisted Ordering Associate) to manage shelf maximums for all SKUs. Proactively restock shelves when out‑of‑stocks occur and backstock is available, or when contractors do not meet stocking expectations. Secure display activity, build displays, and secure product demonstration activity; order cases to support events. Manage shelf management: facings, resets, sign management, not‑in‑stock pricing, coupons, and shelf tags. Ensure timely processing of Vendor Credit Memos (VCMs) and Vendor Price Reduction Agreements (VPRAs). Maintain proper store call frequency aligned with key store personnel availability. Promptly communicate store issues to the AM. Conduct regular checks for code dates and ensure proper product rotation. Manage balanced weekly orders for DSD/DSDS accounts. Demonstrate expertise in using EAGLE Eye and Retail IQ tools. Report in‑store conditions (not‑in‑stock scans, display performance, demo bookings, new item distribution, gaps) via company technology. Build and maintain positive relationships with store personnel and company management. Execute additional assignments or special projects as directed by the Area Manager. Qualifications and core competencies: Focused, organized, and professional appearance. Self‑motivated, effective communicator, and flexible. Integrity and dependability. Strong time‑management skills. Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite). Physical stamina; able to lift, carry, and assemble racks and displays up to 100 lbs. Working conditions: Assemble, install, and relocate various types of racks, weighing up to 100 lbs, with assistance from team members as needed. Build displays weighing up to 40 lb case weight. Work in freezer conditions at 0 °F. Travel for store resets (1–5 days) including overnight stays as needed. Participate in occasional outside case‑lot sales and weekend special events. Military base access is required and candidates must pass a background check. Existing base access is highly preferred. Must have access to a computer, printer, and smartphone to download information from websites. Preference will be given to qualified candidates who are not currently employed by a competitor.
