SERVICE TECHNICIAN
Location: Newark, NJ

ARC Group is seeking an experienced technician with strong mechanical aptitude to join our client's team in Newark, NJ for a hands-on role focused on the repair and maintenance of compressed air equipment. Pay Range: $30$45 per hour (Based on Experience)

What You'll Do:

• Conduct teardown and inspection of returned industrial air equipment
• Diagnose mechanical issues and evaluate failure causes with precision and accuracy
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide clear, written documentation on findings and service recommendations
• Take detailed measurements of worn parts to determine suitability for reuse or replacement
• Follow schematics and service manuals to rebuild compressors to OEM standards
• Operate and maintain workshop tools including welding equipment, sandblasters, band saws, and drill presses
• Interpret engineering drawings for component assembly and fabrication tasks
• Utilize overhead cranes and forklifts safely to move equipment and parts
• Keep your work area organized and ensure all activities align with safety protocols
• Provide training and guidance to customer personnel in the shop environment as needed

What You Bring:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; technical certifications in industrial maintenance or safety are highly valued
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience maintaining or repairing compressors, blowers, pumps, or other industrial machinery
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to follow detailed technical drawings
• Comfortable working with 3-phase electrical systems and various shop tools
• Physically capable of lifting up to 70 lbs and standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods
• Safety-minded, organized, and an effective communicator
• Strong team player with a customer-first attitude and reliable work ethic
