Lineman I Telecom

We’re looking for a Lineman I Telecom to join our team and help connect America. Responsibilities Install and repair aerial telecommunications cable. Safely use hand tools and equipment such as wrenches, drills, ladders, lanyards, saws, lashers, climbing hooks, and more. Safely operate mechanized equipment such as bucket trucks, digger derricks, and excavators. Set up safety perimeter using signage, cones, and safety barriers. Flag traffic when required. Understand separation and clearance regulations. Work aloft using climbing hooks and ladders. Maintain safe working habits and conditions according to all regulations, procedures, and policies. Qualifications 18 years of age or older. Authorization to work in the United States for this company. High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience. Valid state driver's license (non‑provisional) with an acceptable driving record. Ability and willingness to pass a background check and company drug screening. Ability to attend and pass all company‑required training. Ready to work overtime, after hours, weekends, emergencies, or on‑call as needed. Willingness to work nights, holidays, and travel within the state or overnight as required. Regular and timely attendance is essential. Additional Qualifications Previous construction experience, preferably in telecommunications. Knowledge of aerial cable installation procedures and techniques. Ability to climb telephone poles and work in a bucket truck, aloft, and on poles up to 40 feet. Experience with pole transfers, maintenance builds, new builds, cable installation, over-lash, and strand construction. Can lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed with or without assistance. Knowledge of the cable pair color‑code system or willingness to learn. Ability to work in confined spaces. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work with internal and external customers. Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively communicate with product vendors and customers. Physical & Safety Requirements Moderate noise level in the work environment. Regular exposure to outside weather conditions including extreme heat and cold, rain, snow, sleet, dust, and adverse driving conditions such as wet, icy, or foggy roads. Exposure to dust, fumes, airborne pathogens, toxic or corrosive chemicals, and moving machinery parts. Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus near and/or far as needed. Pay Range The Lineman I Telecom hourly wage range is $25.00 - $30.00 depending on experience.
