We serve children and families in the metro New York area and in the Virginia/DC area, Maryland, New Jersey, Connecticut and Delaware. Location Location: Fairfax, VA Position Details Job Type: Part-time and Full-time Work Location: Clinic located in Fairfax, VA Responsibilities Work involves developmental screening/assessment, speech therapy services and consultation with family members and other professionals working with the family. Educate family members and caregivers on different intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over at community settings. Follow Individualized Service Plan, plan ongoing treatment, and interpret goals and treatment plan to parents and make recommendations for further developmental assessments as needed. Participate in monthly agency staff meetings. Prepare progress reports at six month intervals and annual reviews. Maintain client records and submit them to agency within established deadlines. Other duties assigned by immediate supervisor within scope of work. Qualifications Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology 1-2 years of experience working with children birth – 21 is preferred; new graduates may be trained Must possess VA state license to practice Speech Therapy Fluency in a language other than English is a plus Physical Requirements Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases, including driving a personal vehicle, walking, and the use of public transportation The ability to ascend and descend staircases The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly The ability to sit on the floor, kneel and/or crawl for extended periods Benefits Flexible work schedule Access to paperless billing and data collection system (training provided) Support from clinical supervisors and administrative staff Financial educational assistance program (when applicable) Medical, dental, vision and 401k benefits Compensation Details Wage: TBD Sign-on Bonus: $5,000 for full-time; $2,000 for part-time Note: Compensation depends on experience and will be discussed during the interview process.
