About The Role

PMMC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer who already builds software with AI coding agents to help build the next generation of healthcare technology solutions. You will treat agents as part of the team, direct them with clear intent, and hold their output to a high bar for quality, security, and maintainability. Your value is not in typing code faster. It is in specifying problems well, orchestrating agents effectively, and applying the engineering judgment that turns generated code into reliable production systems. In this role, you'll design, develop, and deliver scalable software applications using modern .NET technologies and Azure cloud services, and help shape how our engineering team uses agentic tooling across the full software development lifecycle. You'll play a key role in modernizing existing platforms, developing innovative web applications and microservices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to create high-quality solutions that support our mission. Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions using C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET, Angular, Entity Framework, Web API, and Azure, working alongside AI coding agents (such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot) as a core part of your daily workflow.
\n
• Build and maintain the scaffolding that makes agents effective: repository conventions, project instructions and context files, reusable prompts and skills, and automated test suites that give agents fast, trustworthy feedback.
\n
• Develop, deploy, monitor, and scale cloud-based solutions leveraging Azure services.
\n
• Support application modernization initiatives, including legacy WinForms enhancements and migration efforts, using agents to accelerate code comprehension, refactoring, and test coverage on legacy systems.
\n
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using Azure DevOps, with automated testing, static analysis, security scanning, and quality gates that treat AI-assisted changes as first-class citizens.
\n
• Design and optimize SQL databases, ensuring performance, scalability, and data integrity.
\n
• Apply Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles to create maintainable and extensible systems as the volume of AI-assisted change grows.
\n
• Collaborate with product owners, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-impact software solutions, and mentor teammates on effective agentic practices.
\n
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
\n
• Help define and uphold team standards for responsible AI use in a regulated healthcare environment, including protection of PHI, code provenance, and human accountability for what ships.
\n
• Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and engineering innovations, evaluate new agentic tools and approaches, and share what works.

Qualifications & Requirements

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, related field, or equivalent practical experience.
\n
• 3+ years of professional software development experience, including meaningful production experience building with AI coding agents (not just autocomplete or occasional chat use).
\n
• Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET, Angular, Entity Framework, Web API, and Azure.
\n
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, SQL Server, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native application development.
\n
• Working knowledge of microservices architecture, SOA, and Domain-Driven Design principles.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with agentic tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot), including decomposing work for agents, managing context, and verifying results.
\n
• Strong testing discipline. You know that automated tests, type systems, and review practices are what make agent-generated code trustworthy.
\n
• Sound judgment on security and compliance when using AI tools with sensitive data.
\n
• Experience designing and developing scalable web applications and APIs.
\n
• Excellent written communication and collaboration skills. Clear writing is a core engineering skill because it is how you direct both people and agents.
\n
• Passion for continuous learning and professional growth.
\n

Preferred:

\n
• Experience on a team where agentic development is established practice, with shared conventions, guardrails, and measured outcomes.
\n
• Experience building or integrating LLM-powered features, including prompt design, evaluation, and observability.
\n
• Experience using agents for legacy modernization, test generation, or code migration.
\n
• Healthcare, HIPAA, or other regulated-industry experience.
\n
