Greenskeeper

Description

Rancho de los Caballeros is seeking a Greenskeeper to join our Golf Course Maintenance team. The Greenskeeper is responsible for helping to maintain the beauty, health, and playability of our golf course and surrounding grounds. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, the willingness to work as a team, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, and a commitment to providing an exceptional experience for members and guests.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Mow and maintain greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and other turf areas.
• Rake and maintain bunkers, including edging and sand management.
• Assist with irrigation system operation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Operate and maintain golf course maintenance equipment safely and efficiently.
• Trim trees, shrubs, and landscaped areas to maintain course appearance.
• Repair divots, ball marks, and other course damage.
• Help prepare the course for daily play, tournaments, and special events.
• Follow all safety procedures and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous golf course, landscaping, groundskeeping, or turf maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of turfgrass maintenance practices and irrigation systems is a plus.
• Ability to operate mowers, trimmers, utility vehicles, and other maintenance equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
