Heavy Haul Driver

Location: Andover, NY

Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview: We are looking for experienced and skilled Heavy Haul Drivers to become part of our team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in the safe and efficient transportation of oversized and overweight cargo.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate heavy haul trucks to transport oversized and overweight shipments safely.
Plan and navigate routes in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Ensure loads are secured properly for safe transit.
Conduct routine inspections and perform maintenance on the truck.
Keep accurate logs and records of cargo, routes, and hours worked.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members.
Deliver exceptional customer service and represent the organization professionally.

Requirements:

At least 2 years of experience in heavy haul transportation.
Possession of a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with necessary endorsements.
Strong understanding of state and federal transportation laws.
Capability to operate and maintain heavy haul vehicles.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Willingness to be away from home for extended periods, including trips exceeding one week.

Preferred Certifications:

Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
Wind Industry Transportation Professional Advanced Certification (WITPAC)
