About the Position

Job Title: Medical Surgical - Neuro RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Neurovascular Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years acute inpatient experience required. License: Valid compact state license required. Certifications: BLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: Proficient neuro skills required, with all skills rated as level 3 or 4. Description: 1st timers welcome. Position may float between units based on skill sets. On-call availability is required. Weekends are required every other week. The expected patient ratio is 1:4. Must have vehicle for this assignment. Floating to other units and facilities may be necessary to meet departmental needs. Travelers may receive additional incentives when floating. Recent neuro experience is required. Knowledge of patient care for those with cerebrovascular accidents, trauma, and spinal cord injuries is important. Isolation precautions and PPE usage are part of the responsibilities. This is a short-term, acute care position. Check the charting system experience needed for this role. References required covering at least one year of experience in the last three years. Inflexibility regarding scheduling may affect contract terms. All candidates must be prepared to work on select holidays. RTO requests must be made up-front during the submission process. Travelers should be ready to float between nearby facilities. Travelers refusal to float may impact assignment and hours guaranteed. Communication devices required for the role will be provided at no cost. Travel compliance and background checks will be conducted prior to employment. Module completion is required prior to start, and will be part of non-billable hours.
