Clinicians are responsible for providing comprehensive behavioral health and substance use treatment services to individuals experiencing mental health disorders, substance use disorders, and co-occurring conditions. Responsibilities include conducting biopsychosocial assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, facilitating individual, group, and family therapy sessions, completing crisis intervention services, and coordinating care with internal and external providers.

Clinicians are expected to maintain accurate, timely, and Medicaid-compliant clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, ASAM assessments, discharge summaries, and other required records. Additional responsibilities include participation in treatment team staffing, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, advocacy for client needs, and assisting clients with relapse prevention, emotional regulation, coping skills development, and long-term recovery planning.

The position requires the ability to provide trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and person-centered care while maintaining professional boundaries, ethical standards, confidentiality, and compliance with all agency, state, and federal regulations. Clinicians may also assist with care coordination, community referrals, psychoeducation, and support for clients involved with legal systems, housing instability, or other complex psychosocial needs.

Qualifications:

• Active New Mexico license in good standing as one of the following:
  • LSAA (Licensed Substance Abuse Associate)
  • LADAC (Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor)
  • LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker)
  • LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker)
  • LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor)
  • LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor)
  • LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist)
• Experience working with individuals with mental health, substance use, or co-occurring disorders preferred.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices, crisis intervention, relapse prevention, and trauma-informed care.
• Ability to complete clinical documentation accurately and within required timelines.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, ethical standards, and agency policies.
