Salary Range: $47,000$65,000, based on education and experience

Additional Compensation: $2,000 annual stipend for holders of the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)

Position Summary: The Lafayette School Corporation is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive speech and language services to students from preschool through grade 12. The successful candidate will assess, diagnose, and treat students with communication disorders to support their access to the educational environment and promote academic, social, and functional success. The Speech-Language Pathologist collaborates closely with teachers, administrators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized interventions aligned with student needs and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
• Current Indiana Professional Licensing Agency Speech-Language Pathology license
• Valid Indiana Department of Education Communication Disorders teaching license
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Prior experience in a school setting is preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills

Essential Responsibilities:

• Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct screenings, assessments, and comprehensive evaluations to determine student eligibility for speech-language services. Interpret assessment results and communicate findings to parents and educational teams. Participate in eligibility conferences and multidisciplinary case conferences.
• IEP Development and Compliance: Develop measurable goals and objectives for student IEPs. Provide input for students with speech and language as a primary or secondary disability. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local special education regulations.
• Service Delivery: Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy services addressing: Articulation and phonology Expressive and receptive language Pragmatic language and social communication Fluency Voice disorders Adapt therapy strategies to support student participation in the general education curriculum.
• Collaboration and Consultation: Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to implement effective interventions. Provide recommendations and strategies for classroom carryover. Maintain positive communication with parents regarding student progress and needs.
• Documentation and Medicaid Compliance: Maintain accurate records of evaluations, service logs, progress reports, and Medicaid billing. Utilize the GLASS GO Solutions system and other required data systems. Submit required documentation in a timely manner.
• Professional Responsibilities: Participate in staff meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities. Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical and professional standards. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education.
