Senior Franchise Auditor About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Franchise Auditor to provide leadership, technical expertise, and oversight within a franchise audit function. This role serves as a subject matter expert on royalty processes and compliance standards, conducts complex audits, and contributes to training, documentation, and continuous process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong auditing experience with leadership capability, analytical strength, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with franchise partners. Key Responsibilities Provide training, mentorship, and ongoing oversight to Franchise Auditors and Audit Interns, ensuring audit quality and supporting professional development. Serve as a subject matter expert on royalty processes, policies, and compliance standards. Conduct complex royalty audits, including multi‑unit and multi‑market franchise operations. Support issue resolution throughout the audit lifecycle, including direct communication with franchisees and escalation management when necessary. Identify trends in audit findings and recommend process improvements or targeted training initiatives. Contribute to the development and enhancement of departmental policies, procedures, templates, and documentation. Assist with royalty risk assessments, audit planning, and execution of rotational audit plans. Support departmental initiatives and special projects as assigned. Qualifications Minimum 4 years of auditing experience (royalty or compliance auditing preferred). Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CIA certification preferred. Strong understanding of accounting principles and auditing standards. Experience with QuickBooks or comparable accounting software. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications. Demonstrated leadership and mentoring ability. Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across departments and with franchise partners. Ability to interpret legal documents, including franchise agreements. Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills. High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Work Environment Fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment. Hybrid work schedule with flexibility as business needs require. Occasional extended hours may be required during peak audit periods or special projects.
