The Role Of a Guest Advocate Can Provide You With The Skills And Experience Of: Responsibilities Communicating and interacting with guests to build a welcoming guest experience Blending problem solving and decision making to positively impact the guest experience and resolve guest concerns Adapting to different guest interactions and situations Promoting and engaging around various benefits, offerings and services Typical Day Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing your daily tasks Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs Make the guest aware of current promos, store activities and events Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store, and specific to your area Assist with Target Loyalty programs and sign-up as needed Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with safety standards and company best practices Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy Explain and assist with Target App features including Wallet Be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering; guide guests to enroll, activate and use these features Process returns following policies and procedures with Leaders as needed Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area Stock supplies during store hours and remain available for guests Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety and compliance Work safely at all times; comply with safety policies and training; report hazards Support guest services such as order pickup, drive-up orders and returns while complying with applicable laws All other duties based on business needs Qualifications You enjoy interacting and helping others – including guests and fellow team members You thrive in a fast-moving, active role that requires teamwork, flexibility and problem solving Open to a flexible work schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays) Skills We Look For Communicating effectively with positive language and attentiveness to guest needs Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members Attention to detail while prioritizing tasks Willingness to educate guests about products and services Ability to use multiple devices and handheld scanners and other technology Ability to work independently and as part of a team Remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple tasks Expectations & Conditions Accurately handle checkout operations and support cash office tasks as needed Scan, handle and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends and holidays); reliable attendance required Be mobile for the duration of a shift Work in varying temperatures and conditions in roles such as Drive-Up and carryout Find competitive benefits from financial and education to well-being and beyond at Benefits Eligibility Please paste this url into your preferred browser to learn about benefits eligibility for this role: Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) In compliance with state and federal laws, Target will make reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities.
