Analyst – Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts Location: Austin, TX Overview The selected candidate will be part of the CPAs Fiscal Management Statewide Fiscal Systems team, supporting the Centralized Accounting and Payroll/Personnel System (CAPPS) Program. The CAPPS Program includes HR/Payroll, Financials, STARR, and ancillary systems and may involve learning and integrating new platforms such as CGI Advantage. Responsibilities Provide highly advanced, senior-level consultative services and functional assistance related to supporting the CAPPS Program. Serve as a subject‑matter expert for the CAPPS Accounts Receivable (AR) and Cash Receipts (CR) modules, covering: Module coordination and expertise Production support and issue resolution Configuration and maintenance Business process leadership Change management and enhancements Functional and UAT testing coordination Integration with other modules Compliance and policy alignment Professional Development Candidate must complete at least ten (10) hours of relevant professional training each year on personal time while coordinating any scheduled training with the supervising manager. All training costs are the candidate’s responsibility. An annual training report must be submitted to the contract manager by July 31 each term. Qualifications Strong background in configuration management within ERP environments. Experience with Oracle PeopleSoft Financials or similar ERP systems. Proficiency in Accounts Receivable, Cash Receipts, and related financial modules. Demonstrated ability to provide production support and issue resolution. Excellent communication and change‑management skills. Ability to lead business processes and coordinate UAT testing. Additional Information Telework is an option.
