Shipping Coordinator

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities/Task

Operate UPS, FedEx, and other carriers’ computerized equipment.
Utilize proper shipping documents for various freight carriers.
Execute SAP transactions to enter tracking numbers and freight charges.
Request Proof of Delivery from the mail carrier, per Customer Service.
Verify the accuracy of customs papers and air bill; copy all forms mailed with the package
Inspect outgoing packages.
Keep records of materials shipped.
Pack orders on an as-needed basis.
Perform all tasks necessary for end-of-day closing.
Order shipping supplies.
Contact Customer Service about any order discrepancies.
Possible extended work hours if the freight carrier is running late – wait for pickup.
Maintain a clean work environment by employing 5S principles.
Actively participate in Shop Floor Management meetings and Continuous Improvement activities.
Assist other employees in the accomplishment of their assigned responsibilities as requested.
