Clinical Pharmacist PRN

About the Unit Our inpatient pharmacy team collaborates closely with healthcare providers to ensure optimal medication management for hospitalized patients. We oversee medication storage, distribution, and management in a variety of settings, review medication orders for accuracy and potential interactions, accurately prepare and dispense medications, provide evidence-based drug information, monitor drug levels to optimize therapy, and educate patients and families about their medications. Scope of Work Provide pharmaceutical care according to professional and departmental standards and statutory requirements. Provide safe, effective, rational, and cost‑conscious pharmacotherapeutic recommendations through the department’s medication management programs. Assist in supervising the functional activities of pharmacy technicians and interns. Participate in department‑directed medication management activities consistent with Beaumont Health goals and objectives. Demonstrate good judgment and decisiveness during daily activities, maintaining a working knowledge of current pharmaceutical practice and a personal commitment to professional growth. Support management by providing oversight, guidance, and support for all assigned areas; participate in the planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of new programs and activities. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or Pharm.D. degree in pharmacy. Preferred residency training. 1 year of relevant pharmacy experience (or equivalent). Licensing Requirements Licensed Clinical Pharmacist – STATE_MI (90 days required). Licensed Pharmacist Controlled Substance – STATE_MI (90 days required).
