Job Opportunity

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our outpatient infusion team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in infusion treatments and demonstrate proficiency in chemotherapy administration.

Shift Details

  • Schedule: 4 shifts of 9 hours each
  • Shift Times: 07:30 AM - 04:30 PM or 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM
  • Weekend Coverage: Every other full weekend from 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
Qualifications
  • The candidate must have a valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Certifications required: BLS, ONS.
  • Minimum of 2 years of outpatient infusion experience is required.
  • Experience with the Epic charting system is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
  • Access and manage ports for chemotherapy administration.
  • Handle body fluids post-chemotherapy while adhering to safety precautions.
  • Care for central lines and implanted devices.
  • Monitor patients during chemotherapy and recognize/manage side effects.
  • Communicate and document abnormal lab values effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with health safety protocols, including isolation precautions and PPE usage.
Unit Information

This position involves working within a dynamic outpatient infusion center that emphasizes interdisciplinary support and quality patient care.

Additional Information
  • Orientation and training will be provided.
  • Modules will be completed during orientation and require about 1-5 hours of time.
  • Compliance with onboarding procedures is mandatory.
