Senior Full Stack Engineer - Fintech (TypeScript, NestJS)

Salary: $125,000 - 155,000 per year Requirements:

• At least 6 years of experience building production software, including taking responsibility for systems when they fail
• Strong TypeScript skills across frontend and backend development
• Production experience with NestJS, including modules, dependency injection, and guards
• Knowledge of Next.js App Router, or deep React experience and the ability to learn Next.js quickly
• Understanding of PostgreSQL transactions and locks
• Experience running applications on AWS, including ECS/Fargate, RDS, S3, SQS, and Cognito
• Availability to work full-time in person in Irvine
• Payments, ledgers, accounting, PDF or document tooling, audits, or regulated-work experience is a plus

• Take ownership of our existing codebase, get the application running locally, understand how its components fit together, and deliver initial features
• Strengthen our ledger and accounting reports, and validate them with automated tests
• Complete launch features, establish monitoring and tested backups, and launch the platform with our first customer
• Own development across Next.js, NestJS, PostgreSQL, and AWS, working directly with our founder
• Turn business rules into specifications, tests, and shipped features
• Use AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor, reviewing generated work before it ships

Were building an operating system for regulated money movement. Our product is approximately 80% complete, runs in production on AWS, and has a prospective customer lined up. This is a senior engineering role with direct ownership and close collaboration with our founder; we work from specifications, move quickly, and take care because the product handles money. The role is full-time and in person in Irvine, and is not suited to someone seeking a large team, an extended ramp-up, remote work, or fully prepared specifications. Compensation is $125,000–$155,000 per year, depending on experience, with equity open for discussion. We provide paid holidays, paid time off, and paid sick time. The role includes a full-time, paid 30-day ramp-up with a compensation review at the end, plus a $10,000 bonus when the platform completes its first 100 live transactions. Our hiring process is a 30-minute call, a technical conversation, and then an offer.
