Purchasing Buyer

Job Title: Buyer – Purchasing Agent (Healthcare) Location: Cleveland, OH (Onsite) Position Type: 18-Month Contract Position Summary The Buyer is responsible for sourcing and purchasing supplies, services, and equipment for assigned departments and satellite locations. This role involves negotiating optimal pricing and terms, executing standard purchasing workflows, and ensuring compliance with established organizational policies and procedures. Preferred Qualifications 3 years of purchasing experience within a hospital, healthcare, or public/government environment. Source, requisition, and purchase supplies, equipment, and services for designated corporate and satellite facilities. Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and delivery schedules to secure optimal value. Execute daily procurement functions within established organizational guidelines and purchasing policies. Support supply chain optimization efforts and participate in special departmental projects as assigned. Maintain clear documentation and communication with internal stakeholders and external vendors. Minimum Qualifications Education & Experience: Meets one of the following criteria: Associate’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field AND 3 years of related procurement experience. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. 6 years of experience working as a Buyer/Purchasing Agent in lieu of a degree. Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of standard software packages, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel), and familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (e.g., Lawson).
