Delivery Driver - CDL/Hazmat

Job TitleThis position is responsible for delivering products, including hazardous materials, to customers from Sherwin-Williams stores using box and flat-bed trucks. Drivers ensure deliveries are complete, packed correctly, and safely delivered to the correct customer. Drivers are accountable for customer satisfaction and for transporting items in a safe, timely manner.ResponsibilitiesThe individual selected for this role will be expected to work at Store #705938, located at: 1211 Mt. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company's customers, staff, employees, vendors, contractors, and the general public.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of ageMust be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the futureMust have a valid, unrestricted Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a hazardous materials endorsementMust have a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) from a Department of Transportation (DOT) licensed "medical examiner" listed on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) National Registry or be willing to obtain one within five business days of receiving a conditional offer of employmentMust be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion.Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodationMust read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.If internal to Sherwin-Williams, you must have received at least a "meets expectations" (3) rating on your most recent performance appraisalIf internal to Sherwin-Williams, you must have completed all HR Cloud eLearning courses required for your current positionPreferred Qualifications:Have at least a High School diploma or GEDHave at least one (1) year of experience working as a delivery driverHave at least one (1) year of work experience using material handling equipment (for example: forklifts (stand and sit), pallet jacks, hand trucks, order pickers, vacu-hoists, drum dollies, conveyor belts, etc.)Have previous work experience selling paint and paint-related productsAbility to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one languageAbility to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in SpanishAbout UsAt Sherwin-Williams, our purpose is to inspire and improve the world by coloring and protecting what matters.
