A skilled pharmacist is sought to fill a night shift role at a reputable children’s hospital in Lubbock, TX. This travel position offers a unique opportunity to apply pediatric and inpatient pharmacy expertise in a dynamic hospital environment. The assignment starts ASAP and is expected to last six months, with the potential to transition to a day shift later in the year to cover an FMLA absence.
Responsibilities include providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care during the night shift from 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM, overseeing medication dispensing and monitoring within the hospital setting, and collaborating closely with medical staff to support pediatric patient needs. Experience with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems is essential for efficient daily operations.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Texas pharmacist license
- Strong pediatric pharmacy experience preferred
- Prior inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency with EPIC and Pyxis systems
- Ability to work night shifts—7 days on, 7 days off schedule
