About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Civic Engagement and External Relations to serve as a senior executive leader and the primary liaison to the city's various organizations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive civic engagement strategy that aligns with the institution's mission and values, particularly in the areas of community service and social justice. This role involves building and sustaining authentic relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including neighborhood residents, local organizations, and government entities. The VP will also be tasked with leading initiatives that enhance the company's role as an anchor institution in the region, overseeing multiple offices related to community and external engagement, and managing a high-performing team. Applicants for the Vice President position at the company should have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years' of experience in civic engagement, public affairs, or a related field. A deep knowledge of and established relationships within the local civic, philanthropic, government, and business communities are essential. The role requires a proven track record in partnership development, team leadership, and a strong alignment with the values of a Catholic, Spiritan institution. Experience in higher education administration, government affairs, and a commitment to equality, inclusion, and social justice are also necessary. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional communicator, a strategic thinker, and a passionate advocate for the mission of the company.
