UPMC Hamot is hiring a Part-Time Professional Staff Nurse to help support the Float Pool! We offer 4, 8, and 12 hour shifts either weekends or nights. The Float Pool is a great place to be to experience all UPMC Hamot has to offer in all of our units while earning a 10% differential on top of your base pay! Eligible experienced candidates are eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $7,500!

The minimum rate of pay for a non-BSN Professional Staff Nurse is $36.50.

• Ability to establish and maintain positive, caring relationships with executives, managers, physicians, non-physician providers, ancillary and support staff, other departments, and patients/families.

• Ability to work productively and effectively within a complex environment, handle multiple/changing priorities and specialized equipment.

• Good clinical judgment with critical thinking, analytical and problem solving abilities required as related to various aspects of patient care.

• Critical thinking skills necessary to exercise and to lead others in application of the nursing process.

• Mobility and visual manual dexterity.

• Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting and positioning of patients.

• Two years experience strongly preferred.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

• UPMC approved national certification preferred.

• Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse.

• CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire

• ACLS within 1 year of hire or transfer.

• PALS within 1 year of hire or transfer.

• NIH within 6 months of hire or transfer.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

• Act 33 with renewal

• Act 34 with renewal

• Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
