Mammography Tech - Full Time

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist for a permanent role with an outpatient healthcare client in Toms River, NJ. You will perform specialized examinations of the breast to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Mammography ARRT(R)(M) certification.
• Current State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology for New Jersey.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience preferred, including hands-on experience with mammographic equipment and image acquisition.
• Experience producing high-quality diagnostic mammographic images and applying appropriate compression, exposure modes, grid selection, focal spot selection, AEC and other technical adjustments.
• Experience interacting with patients during imaging exams, monitoring patient well-being, and responding to patient discomfort or medical concerns.

Position Details and Responsibilities:

• Operate mammographic equipment and other devices in accordance with company policies and protocols.
• Produce timely, high-quality diagnostic images while providing professional patient care.
• Monitor patients during exams, recognize signs of discomfort or medical issues, and take appropriate action.
• Guide and educate patients through the mammography process, addressing questions and concerns with sensitivity.
• Respond to physician questions regarding patient imaging and findings.
• Maintain patient privacy and safeguard Patient Health Information and onsite medications per policy and legal requirements.
• Demonstrate professional behavior, respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities, and maintain cooperative working relationships with colleagues.
