Mechanical Engineer OpportunitiesMission Technologies, a division of HII, is hiring multiple Mechanical Engineers to support operations at our Alexandria, VA location. As a Mechanical Engineer you will contribute to the design, development and engineering of mechanical systems for complex facilities across domestic and international projects. The following positions are available:Lead Mechanical Engineer Salary Range: $143,140 - $224,000Senior Mechanical Engineer Salary Range: $102,724 - $161,423Mechanical Engineer Salary Range: $84,285 - $133,000Essential Job Responsibilities Researches, plans, designs, verifies, validates and develops mechanical and/or electromechanical products and systems, such as metals, instruments, controls, plastics, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, resonance, hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy. Recommends various technology options or approaches for system, processes, facility or program improvements in terms of safety, performance, efficiency or costs. May be responsible for the transfer from R and D to manufacturing. Minimum QualificationsLead Mechanical Engineer (Engineer Mechanical 5): 15 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or 10 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field.Minimum of five (5) years experience working as a Mechanical Engineer in a commercial environment.Experience implementing Building Automation and SystemExperience with OCONUS installation service and maintenanceSenior Mechanical Engineer (Engineer Mechanical 3): 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.Minimum of three (3) years experience working as a Mechanical Engineer in a commercial environment.Experience implementing Building Automation and SystemMechanical Engineer (Engineer Mechanical 2): 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; or 0 years experience with Masters in related field.Minimum of two (2) years experience working as a Mechanical Engineer in a commercial environment.Technical & Additional Requirements:All levels must possess an active TS/SCI clearancePassed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examExperience utilizing 3-dimensional drafting tools such as CAD, Solidworks, and RevitExperience working with other development contractors and trades to include non-traditional applicationsPreferred RequirementsLead Mechanical Engineer (Engineer Mechanical 5):Professional Engineering license (PE)Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering teamsExperience with mechanical industry best practices, regulations and safety standardsSenior Mechanical Engineer (Engineer Mechanical 4):Professional Engineering license (PE)Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering teamsProficiency with electrical industry best practices, regulations and safety standardsPrevious experience working on large teamsMechanical Engineer (Engineer Mechanical 2):Experience working on USG contractsExperience with mechanical industry best practices, regulations and safety standardsExperience working on teamsDemonstrated experience implementing Building Automation and SystemsPhysical Requirements May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment.
