Experienced Optician – Full Time
Location: Chicopee, MA
Pay: $30.00–$35.00 per hour (based on experience)

Our established private optometry practice in Chicopee is looking for an experienced, patient-focused Optician to join our team. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional patient care in a friendly, professional environment where quality always comes first.

What You’ll Do
Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses that best fit their lifestyle and vision needs
Take accurate optical measurements, including PDs and segment heights
Recommend premium lens options, coatings, and specialty products
Adjust, repair, and troubleshoot eyewear
Verify prescriptions and ensure accurate order entry
Deliver outstanding customer service from start to finish
Work collaboratively with our doctors and staff to provide an exceptional patient experience
Qualifications

• Must be State Board Certified Licensed Dispensing
Optician. Newly Licensed welcome to apply
• 2-5 years of related eyewear experience within a similar office environment a plus
• Demonstrated success in a retail, office environment addressing a broad spectrum of customer requirements and preferences
• Strong comfort level with optical and lens related concerns
• Demonstrates the ability to actively oversee, understand and describe multiple prescriptions daily
• Demonstrated ability to establish positive patient rapport and build relationships to establish repeat customer- trends
• Strong communication skills (oral and written) with the proven ability to manage priorities in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Ability to multi-task, set priorities and ensure that patient commitments/deadlines are met
• Proficiency in utilization of automated equipment and systems standard to the optometry industry
